A great tasting, easy chili recipe that has gotten rave reviews from friends and random tasters!
The sirloin is not optional. If you use cheaper meat, you MUST drain it. |
| Ingredients: |
| |
2 lb |
|
87/13 Lean Ground Sirloin |
| |
1 can |
|
Tomato Sauce |
| |
1 can |
|
Diced Tomatoes |
| |
1 can |
|
Chili Beans or Kidney Beans |
| |
0.50 tbsp |
|
Chili Powder |
| |
1 tsp |
|
Onion Powder |
| |
1 tsp |
|
Garlic Powder |
| |
|
|
Salt |
| |
|
|
Pepper |
| Directions: |
| |
1. Brown sirloin in the pot you'll cook in. DO NOT DRAIN - This is low fat meat
2. Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and chili beans, stir, bring to a boil
3. Add spices, reduce to simmer 20 minutes
4. Enjoy!
NOTE: With the chili powder, I normally give it a good top coating over the entire pot, then stir in. Chili powder is flavorful and not hot as you'd expect.
